Resurgence and SAS4 player counts: dated Steam observations
Last checked 2026-10-29. Claims link the source that supports them.
A snapshot, not a live counter
Both games had players on Steam during the October 29, 2026 review. The observations below were captured around 06:55 UTC (14:55 Singapore). They are not live values and do not count iOS or Android players, total owners, unique daily players or a combined series population.
Steam data source only: SteamCharts and SteamDB display data derived from Steam. The Steam API is a useful cross-check, but is the same underlying population, not a second independent measurement. Changing current-player observations must not be averaged into a supposed verified total.
Two public readings of current Steam activity
| Game | SteamCharts snapshot | Steam current-player API | 24h / all-time peak on SteamCharts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Resurgence | 653 playing | 632 playing | 1,054 / 1,054 — SteamCharts source only |
| SAS4 | 103 playing | 99 playing | 165 / 1,497 — SteamCharts source only |
The requests were sequential snapshots within the review window, not simultaneous polls. Their current counts differ; neither is substituted for the other. Older same-day research recorded 721 for Resurgence and 117 for SAS4, while the old draft used 108 for SAS4. Those are earlier observations, not fresh “right now” figures.
What the charts can and cannot tell you
SAS4’s monthly history shows a September 2026 average of 101.03 concurrent players and a rolling last-30-days average of 121.79 at this capture (SteamCharts source only). The rolling period is not the completed October calendar month, and average concurrency is not a daily-unique count.
For Resurgence, the launch-period 24-hour peak and all-time peak both read 1,054. The rolling average was 891.56, but the game had only just released; that does not provide a full month of post-release history or evidence of long-term retention. A launch stream or update can coincide with activity without establishing that it caused the change.
These readings show a larger launch-window Steam audience for Resurgence than SAS4, not a guarantee of fast matchmaking in every region, mode or skill bracket. They also cannot establish which game has more mobile players.
SteamDB, demo and scope checks
For alternate chart views, use Resurgence on SteamDB and SAS4 on SteamDB. Both returned HTTP 403 to this automated review; no SteamDB number was imported. A bot-protection response is not evidence that the pages are missing.
The Resurgence demo has a separate app ID, 4377450. Its activity must not be added to app 2747660 as though it were the full game. No reliable public all-platform concurrent total was found. The chart links let you see a later observation without presenting this stored snapshot as current.
Questions on this page
How many people are playing Resurgence?
Around 06:55 UTC on October 29, 2026 SteamCharts showed 653 while a separate Steam API request showed 632. These Steam data source only observations are not a live or all-platform total.
How many people are playing SAS4?
In the same review window SteamCharts showed 103 while the Steam API returned 99. The source only snapshots differ and are not averaged.
Do SteamCharts and SteamDB include mobile players?
They describe Steam activity for the specified app, not a combined iOS, Android and Steam population.
Is Resurgence’s demo included?
The demo has its own Steam app ID. The full-game chart on this page is app 2747660, not demo app 4377450.
