SAS: Zombie Assault 3 after Flash: mobile, PC and Sewers

SAS3 has public iOS and Android store listings; its old web service ended separately. Start with the US App Store or Google Play for the mobile edition. Apple lists it as free with in-app purchases. The publisher’s April 2022 service notice names SAS3 web among the services ending April 30, 2022, including Archive access. That notice does not establish the status of mobile matchmaking in 2026.

PC, mobile and release dates

For the older PC edition, Ninja Kiwi Archive is the publisher’s Flash collection. Its community catalog includes SAS3 (single-source inventory); it is different from a standalone native SAS3 Steam release. The publisher’s shutdown notice takes precedence over old multiplayer advertising.

The wiki records a June 6, 2011 open beta, while its update list also says June 7. The US Apple record gives December 21, 2011 for iOS, version 3.10 last updated July 4, 2016. These are different platform events, with Apple’s fields single-source. The wiki’s Android 3.11 history must not be substituted for the iOS version. All records were reviewed October 29, 2026.

Sewers: where it is and what to prioritize

Sewers is a mobile map reached after Cemetery; the regional map list places it in Russia, unlocked at rank 15. Both descriptions belong to the same wiki and count as one source. The Sewers article describes narrow corridors with vents and holes as enemy entry points, plus larger rooms in the center and upper corners. It recommends strong damage and a large magazine. Those layout and equipment suggestions are single-source wiki guidance. Plan a retreat through the larger rooms and avoid reloading in a blocked corridor; that last recommendation is an editorial application of the layout.

The original European map names are Farmhouse, Airbase, Karnivale, Verdammtenstadt and Black Isle. Use the linked map directory to identify regions and prerequisites rather than looking for a separate Steam map pack.

Why map totals disagree

The current iOS store description advertises 5 maps, Google Play advertises 17, and the wiki’s SAS3 article says 20 mobile maps. Its Maps and Areas page instead says 15, while also describing fifteen additional maps beyond Europe. Preserve these platform and editorial differences: none of those figures is a verified universal 2026 total. Historical wiki labels such as “downloadable” also do not prove that an old content server still serves the file.

No public SAS3 co-op restoration project with sufficiently clear documentation was established in this review. Old multiplayer videos show historical play, not a current restoration method. For downloadable maps, use the store editions and the map directory above; a modified “all maps” package is not evidence of publisher support.
