SAS4 maps: mission names, objectives and secret areas
Last checked 2026-10-29. Claims link the source that supports them.
SAS4’s original missions are Onslaught, Vaccine, Survivors, Zombie Pods, VIP, Power Out and Last Stand. Later map references include Recovery and contract layouts. The Steam description advertises seven story maps; it should not be read as a complete inventory of every later activity. The independently authored Maps guide by xxx names those seven, Recovery and additional layouts. Sources were reviewed October 29, 2026.
The seven original maps and their objectives
| Map | Goal | Useful priority |
|---|---|---|
| Onslaught | Survive the station attack and clear the remaining zombies. | Keep an escape route while the attack continues. |
| Vaccine | Retrieve the vaccine and reach the dropship before time expires. | Advance toward the objective instead of treating every enemy as mandatory. |
| Survivors | Rescue civilians and defeat the boss. | Protect survivors while clearing the route. |
| Zombie Pods | Investigate the supermarket, destroy pods and clear the enemy threat. | Make space before opening another threat. |
| VIP | Rescue the VIP and escort him to extraction alive. | Keep enemies away from the escort target. |
| Power Out | Repair switches and destroy Loaderbots to restore hospital power. | Track objective progress rather than only kills. |
| Last Stand | Defend against waves while limiting enemies that get through. | Protect the defensive line and catch escaping enemies. |
Objective source: wiki Missions (one community source for the detailed goals). The map names are corroborated by the separate Steam layout guide; the final column is editorial planning advice. The Vaccine article further explains the vaccine-and-evacuation goal, but remains the same wiki source.
Recovery, contract layouts and Flash-only maps
Recovery asks you to retrieve an object guarded by Scavengers and clear a landing zone, according to the wiki Missions page (single-source objective). The Maps guide provides layout sections for Recovery, Compound, Crash Site, Uranium Mine, Sea Lab and Faction arenas. Use those images for planning; a contract layout name does not imply another full story mission.
The wiki map directory separates Ice Station and Meltdown as Flash-only. This platform distinction has one community source. Keep it separate from the native Steam/mobile route instead of assuming an absent Flash mission is a missing download.
Secret areas: sourced route notes
The following route hints are paraphrased from Bling Bling’s Secret rooms in 7 original maps, last updated January 25, 2020. They are single-source community instructions, not a current publisher route specification. Loot can differ; entering a room does not guarantee a particular strongbox.
- Onslaught: let zombies break the doors, then approach from behind and shoot the rear of the black square.
- Vaccine: shoot the entrance to the room above the spawn area; the guide also points out the accessible plane interior.
- Survivors: shoot the windows on the right side to reveal a room.
- Zombie Pods: shoot the wall above the starting position; the guide also describes a passage at the upper-left of the boss area.
- Power Out: the guide points to the lower-right area and the upper-left vent.
- Last Stand: shoot the garage door near the survivors.
VIP limitation: the author explicitly says they do not know a secret room on VIP, although they mention shootable doors on the right. That is not a confirmed hidden-room route. The wiki’s broad statement that every map has a secret area does not fill this gap.
SAS4 mapa e modelagem: resumo em português
Mapas e objetivos: Onslaught é sobrevivência; Vaccine exige recuperar a vacina e evacuar; Survivors envolve resgatar civis; Zombie Pods é investigação e combate; VIP é escolta; Power Out exige restaurar energia; Last Stand é defesa.
Map access, mod tools and the Ruin query
For playable native missions, use the publisher’s SAS4 Steam listing; for layout images, use the community guide above. No publisher map-pack, model download or supported mod SDK was established from the reviewed public sources. Save editors and exploit repositories do not answer the map-design query and are not offered as map tools.
Ruin is documented as a SAS TD boss, not a SAS4 mission (single wiki source). For that boss’s defense context, follow the TD guide.
Questions on this page
What are the original SAS4 maps?
Onslaught, Vaccine, Survivors, Zombie Pods, VIP, Power Out and Last Stand. The linked layout guide also includes Recovery and contract maps.
Does seven story maps mean there are no later maps?
No. The store’s seven-map wording describes the original set. The linked community guide separately documents Recovery and additional activity layouts.
Where are the secret areas?
This page summarizes six routes from a named community guide. Its author does not establish a VIP secret-room route; those details remain single-source.
Where can I download custom maps or models?
The reviewed public sources did not establish a publisher map editor, model pack or supported SDK. Use the Steam listing for the game and the linked guide for layout images.
Is Ruin a SAS4 map?
The linked wiki identifies Ruin as a boss exclusive to SAS TD. That attribution has one community source.
