Resurgence weapons: categories, examples and how to get them
Last checked 2026-10-29. Claims link the source that supports them.
Where weapons come from
Resurgence’s arsenal comes through strongboxes, gear modification, vendor reputation rewards and mid-mission supply drops for power weapons. Ninja Kiwi advertises over 60 primary and secondary weapons (Steam loadout description; publisher source only). That marketing scope is not an independently counted launch inventory.
This guide separates named community examples from documented acquisition systems. It does not claim a complete current damage database. The most clearly documented special example is the Morlok Frostbite pistol, tied to Next Fest participation in Dev Diary #13.
Weapon categories and named examples
The category grouping and additional example names follow the wiki.gg Resurgence weapon navigation captured in the October 29 research file. Community source only: wiki.gg returned HTTP 403 to this re-fetch, not 404. These snapshot examples are not independently confirmed launch drops. The readable Fandom pages linked in individual rows provide narrower current evidence; the two wikis are not independent witnesses.
| Category | Examples | Acquisition / evidence limit |
|---|---|---|
| Pistols | Frostbite | Next Fest announcement and challenge result: Morlok Frostbite was a participation reward, not an ordinary launch purchase. Publisher source only; both posts are Ninja Kiwi. |
| SMGs | HVM 026; RIA T71 Strike | Community list source only; individual acquisition and launch stats not independently confirmed. |
| Assault rifles | HVM 055 | Resurgence Assault page: starting rifle. Community source only; pre-launch description. |
| Shotguns | HVM 040; Ronson 3182 | Community list source only; exact drop level and odds not established. |
| Sniper rifles | CM 818 Hyperion; Pathfinder | Community list source only; no supported DPS or boss ranking. |
| Rocket launchers | HVM MPG MK13; Marauder | Community list source only; no supported damage or drop rates. |
| Light machine guns | HVM 082; Auger | HVM 082: Heavy starting primary and mission drops (community source only). Auger: wiki.gg research snapshot only; live re-fetch blocked. |
| Power weapons | Vesuvius | Vesuvius: supply-drop weapon in the wiki.gg snapshot (community source only). The general supply-drop system is described by Steam; that does not independently verify this named item. |
Acquisition routes and their limits
| Route | What is supported | Planning advice |
|---|---|---|
| Strongboxes | Ninja Kiwi says earned strongboxes reveal weapons and armour. | Use the gear you obtain as your starting pool; there is no sourced guarantee for a specific named drop. |
| Crafting / modification | The store describes improving and modifying existing gear. | Prioritise a weapon you expect to keep using; the source does not say every gun can be crafted from nothing. |
| Vendors | Reputation may unlock weapons not available elsewhere. | Check this route before assuming every listed gun is a strongbox drop; no exact reputation threshold is established here. |
| Supply drops | Mid-mission drops provide power weapons. | Treat these separately from permanent starting equipment. |
| Next Fest reward | Ninja Kiwi announced the Frostbite reward for eligible participants. | This is a historical entitlement; buying the full game now is not documented as a way to earn it. |
General routes are publisher source only: Steam and Google Play repeat the same Ninja Kiwi description. They do not establish independent drop-rate measurements or a named recipe for every item.
A sensible first upgrade route
Our editorial recommendation is to improve a regularly used primary before spreading resources across several speculative late-game targets. Pair it with a secondary that serves a different purpose, and reserve rare-material decisions until a public item source supports the upgrade you want. This follows the documented modification and dismantling systems, not a calculated DPS tier list.
For an evidenced starting example, the HVM 082 community page identifies it as Heavy’s LMG and warns about movement and reload trade-offs. The page explicitly says its SAS4 infobox is a placeholder for a Resurgence weapon. Community source only: we omit the displayed stats rather than treat that reused infobox as verified launch data. The Assault page names HVM 055 as its starting rifle, also source only.
Demo gear and unresolved inventory details
The January 30 demo diary limited the demo to Common/Uncommon equipment and mods. That restriction does not establish the launch rarity of Auger, Vesuvius or every vendor gun. The research snapshot’s exact total of 62 has been removed because the roster was not independently re-counted. Scrapped entries are not presented as obtainable weapons.
There is no supported complete damage table, drop-probability table or universal best gun in this review. Unlike the general source-backed acquisition routes above, the named wiki examples remain explicitly single-source and may change.
Questions on this page
How many weapons are in Resurgence?
Ninja Kiwi advertises over 60 primary and secondary weapons. This is publisher source only, not an independent launch roster count.
How do I get the Morlok Frostbite pistol?
Ninja Kiwi linked the pistol to participation in the 2026 Steam Next Fest challenge, then announced the target was met. This publisher source only reward is not proof that new purchases can claim it.
Can every weapon be crafted?
The store describes improving and modifying gear. It does not establish a craft-from-scratch recipe for every named weapon.
