Which Zombie Assault game should you choose?

Start with Zombie Assault: Resurgence if you want the new paid action RPG shooter. It released on October 28, 2026 and offers solo play or co-op for up to four players. The Steam listing, US App Store record and community wiki agree on the release day. Store gameplay descriptions repeat Ninja Kiwi copy, so they remain publisher source only rather than independent gameplay tests.

Choose SAS: Zombie Assault 4 if you want the older free game and its established build discussions. Steam, Google Play and the US App Store showed free listings with in-app purchases on October 29, 2026; each edition’s price is store source only. Its Steam launch was October 16, 2017 (Steam source only), while mobile and Flash versions have earlier histories. SAS4 and Resurgence are separate applications, with separate equipment and skill systems.
