Which Zombie Assault wiki should you use?
Last checked 2026-10-29. Claims link the source that supports them.
Use wiki.gg first, with freshness checks
Our editorial starting point for Resurgence item research is saszombieassault.wiki.gg, because the October 29 research snapshot recorded new weapon edits there on October 28. Use Fandom as an alternative for older material and readable pre-launch class descriptions. This is a navigation recommendation, not a guarantee that either database is complete.
Source only: the wiki.gg edit date comes from the earlier research snapshot; this review received HTTP 403 from both pages and its API. It could not independently reproduce that freshness result. A 403 is bot protection/access refusal, not proof of a dead page. We therefore removed exact article and editor counts and the blanket claim that Fandom has stopped updating.
Which source answers which question?
| Need | Suggested destination | How to judge it |
|---|---|---|
| Resurgence weapon categories and item entries | wiki.gg weapon navigation | Check an individual page’s history, TODO notices and game label. Named item details remain community source only until an independent source agrees. |
| Resurgence role descriptions | Fandom Assault; Fandom Heavy | Readable through Fandom’s API in this review, but pre-launch descriptions, not independently measured launch builds. |
| Historical names or version claims | Fandom; wiki.gg | Keep platform dates separate. An older page can retain an obsolete “upcoming” sentence after recording a release date. |
| Current price, compatibility or storage requirement | Store comparison | Use the relevant region and edition’s store; a wiki is not the checkout price. |
| Teammates, reports or patch discussion | Community guide | Use Discord, Reddit or the correct Steam hub; player opinions are not a weapon stat reference. |
| Steam activity | SteamDB; SteamCharts | Both derive activity from Steam, excluding mobile. SteamDB returned 403 to this review. |
What was readable on October 29?
The Fandom recentchanges API returned a latest edit of 2026-09-26 06:25:11 UTC to Zombie Assault: Resurgence (Fandom source only). That records a latest visible edit, not a promise of a regular update schedule.
The Resurgence article gives October 28 as the release date and Steam/mobile prices, while retaining an “upcoming” introduction. This internal staleness is a reason to check the store, not to discard every historical wiki detail. The HVM 082 page explicitly warns that its SAS4 infobox is a placeholder for a Resurgence weapon. We do not promote those infobox numbers to confirmed launch stats.
Two wiki domains are not two independent witnesses
The earlier wiki.gg research recorded that pre-August-2024 pages were adapted from Fandom. Where text or tables share that origin, matching claims count as one source family. A store page and that store’s API also count as one source. Repeated Ninja Kiwi marketing on several stores is publisher source only for gameplay claims.
Prefer an independent record for the exact claim: another dated account of an item or mechanic, not just another URL. Preserve conflicts such as the SAS3 iOS versus wiki version records; do not merge them into an invented current number. For a concise sourced starting point, use the Resurgence weapon guide.
Questions on this page
Which Zombie Assault wiki is more current?
The earlier research snapshot favoured wiki.gg for October 28 Resurgence weapon edits, source only. This review could not re-fetch wiki.gg because of 403 responses; Fandom’s readable recentchanges API last showed September 26.
Are Fandom and wiki.gg independent sources?
Not for shared or migrated content. Matching copied claims need another independent source, not just a second wiki domain.
Should I trust a weapon stat with a SAS4 infobox?
Check the game and page warning. The Fandom HVM 082 page explicitly calls its SAS4 infobox a placeholder for a Resurgence weapon; this site omits those numeric stats.
